Default roles

The following table shows the default RBAC roles.

Table 1. Default rolesThis table lists and describes the dashboard, admin, and security officer roles.
Role Description
Dashboard The dashboard user enables users to view the Cyber Recovery dashboard but not perform tasks. The dashboard does not time out.
Admin The admin user manages all Cyber Recovery operations. A security officer adds users and assigns them to the admin role. Admin users can change their own passwords, but not the passwords that belong to other admin users.
Security officer The security officer can:
  • Perform all Cyber Recovery operational and management tasks
  • Create, modify, enable, disable, and delete dashboard, admin, and security officer user accounts
  • Set the duration after which passwords expire for all users
  • Disable multifactor authentication for an admin user or another security officer
  • Access system settings to manage administrative settings, including the number of login sessions and activity reports
NOTE:The default security officer created during installation with the crso username is recognized as the superuser account. A security officer cannot modify, delete, disable, or disable multifactor authentication for the crso.
