Enabling copy and paste options over RDP

As a prerequisite to transferring a supported browser executable file and other files onto the jump host, manually edit the Local Group Policy to enable copy and paste options on the jump host.

Prerequisites

The Cyber Recovery solution is successfully installed on the Microsoft Azure cloud.

Steps

  1. Use RDP to log in to the jump host on Azure.
  2. Click The image shows the Windows Start icon. and enter either Local Group Policy Editor or gpedit.msc. Run the Local Group Policy Editor.
    The Local Group Policy Editor console is displayed
  3. Go to Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Remote Desktop Services > Remote Desktop Session Host > Device and Resource Redirection.
  4. Double-click Do not allow drive redirection.
  5. In the Do not allow drive redirection dialog box, enable the Not Configured option and click OK.
