Removing hard drive

Steps

  1. Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
  2. Remove the :
    1. battery
    2. base cover
  3. To remove the hard drive:
    1. Disconnect the hard drive cable from the connector on the system board [1].
    2. Remove the 4 (M2 x 5.4) screws that secure the hard drive assembly to the system [2].
      Displays the removal of the HDD
    3. Remove the hard drive assembly from the system.
    4. Remove the hard drive cable.
    5. Remove the 4 (M3x3) screws that secure the hard drive brackets in place.
    6. Lift the hard drive bracket from the hard drive.
