Removing the system board

1. Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
2. Remove the:
   1. battery
   2. hard drive
   3. optical drive
   4. base cover
   5. I/O board
   6. GPS board
   7. WLAN card
   8. WWAN card
   9. hard drive tray
3. Lift the latch [1] and disconnect the system board cables [2].
   
4. Close the display and flip the computer.
5. To release the system board:
   1. Lift the latch [1] and disconnect the I/O cable from the system board [2].
   2. Remove the screws that secure the metal tab [3].
   3. Lift the metal tab to access the eDP cable [4].
   4. Disconnect the eDP cable from the system board [5].
   
6. Peel the adhesive tape [1] and disconnect the following cables:
   1. display [2]
   2. system fan [3]
   3. speaker [4]
   4. coin cell battery [5]
   5. power connector [6]
   
7. To remove the system board:
   1. Remove the epoxy screws that secure the DisplayPort to the computer chassis [1].
   2. Remove the screws that secure the system board to the computer chassis [2].
   3. Lift the system board away from the computer chassis [3].
