Add or edit device details for Power Manager monitored devices
Add device details for devices monitored through Power Manager for accurate rack management.
About this task
NOTE:If you are logging in as a Device Manager, only the device groups and devices that are in your scope are available for viewing and management.
For example, if you are logging in as a Device Manager DM1 user, you can view and edit the device details that are part of groups that are in Device Manager DM1 user scope. However, as a Device Manager DM1 user, you cannot add any device to the group in your scope.
To add or edit the device details, perform the following steps:Steps
- Launch OpenManage Enterprise.
- On the Devices page, select a device by selecting the check box.
- Scroll down to the end of the page to update the Power Manager details in the bottom-right side of the page.
- Click Update Details.

Provide the size of the device in the rack unit and maximum power consumption of the device in Watts and click
Apply.
The power value is automatically converted to BTU and displayed.NOTE:For UPS devices, only the device size can be updated.The details for the device are updated.
