OpenManage Enterprise Power Manager Version 3.1 User’s Guide

UPS output states

The UPS output states represent the current state of the UPS.

The different output states are as follows:

  • Unknown (1)—The Management Card cannot determine the state of the UPS.
  • Online (2)—The UPS is using acceptable input voltage to provide output voltage.
  • On Battery (3)—The UPS is using battery power to provide output voltage.
  • On Smart Boost (4)—The UPS is using the Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR) boost feature with a low input voltage to provide sufficient output voltage without switching to battery operation.
  • Timed Sleeping (5)—The UPS is waiting for a defined time before supplying output power to its supported equipment.
  • Software Bypass (6)—The UPS is placed into bypass mode using SNMP or PowerChute plus or PowerNet Manager.
  • Off (7)—The UPS is turned off.
  • Rebooting (8)—The UPS is resetting its supported equipment by turning off its output power and then turning it back on.
  • Switched Bypass (9)—The UPS is placed into bypass mode using the switch at the UPS.
  • Hardware Failure Bypass (10)—The UPS places itself into a bypass mode in response to a hardware problem.
  • Sleeping Until Power Return (11)—The UPS is waiting for the input power to return to an acceptable level before it provides output power to the supported equipment.
  • On Smart Trim (12)—The UPS is using the AVR Trim feature with a high input voltage to provide output voltage without switching to battery operation.
  • Eco Mode (13)—The UPS is operating in eco mode.
  • Hot Standby (14)
  • On Battery Test (15)—The UPS is running a self-test.
  • Emergency Static Bypass (16)—The UPS is placed into static bypass mode.
  • Static Bypass Standby (17)—The UPS is waiting to be placed into static bypass mode.
  • Power-Saving Mode (18)
  • Spot Mode (19)
  • eConversion (20)—The UPS is operating in eConversion mode.
  • Charger Spot Mode (21)—The UPS is running a charger power test.
  • Inverter Spot Mode (22)—The UPS is running an inverter power test.
  • Active Load (23)
  • Battery Discharge Spot Mode (24)—The UPS is running a battery discharge power test.
  • Inverter Standby (25)—The UPS is operating in standby mode.
  • Charger Only (26)
