Install Group Policy templates

Before you create, apply, or change Group Policy Templates, an administrator must first make the templates available in the Group Policy Management Console (GPMC).
  1. Obtain and extract the Dell Power Manager DUP.

    • You can download the Dell Power Manager DUP for your system from www.dell.com/support.

    • Once you have downloaded the package, run it and select the Extract option to extract the files.

  2. On the domain server, go to the directory where you have extracted Dell Power Manage.
  3. Open the PolicyDefinitions folder.
  4. Copy the .admx files in the PolicyDefinitions folder to the default Windows PolicyDefinitions folder—typically, the default path is C:\Windows\PolicyDefinitions\.
  5. Copy the .adml files in the PolicyDefinitions\<language>\ folder (for example, PolicyDefinitions\En\) to C:\Windows\PolicyDefinitions\<language>\.
The Group Policies is available in GPMC under Administrative Templates.
