System becomes unresponsive when NVMe PCIe SSD is surprise removed
- Description
- System becomes unresponsive when the device is removed without first preparing the device for removal.
- Cause
- Surprise Removal is not supported in PowerEdge servers for NVMe PCIe SSD.
- Solution
- Execute the Prepare For Removal operation for the specific NVMe PCIe SSD from a Dell Management application. For more information, see Hot swap.
