Removing the keyboard

Prerequisites

  1. Follow the procedure in before working inside your computer
  2. Remove the microSD card.
  3. Remove the base cover.
  4. Remove the battery.
  5. Remove the ssd.
  6. Remove the ssd bracket.
  7. Remove the palmrest bracket.
  8. Remove the heatsink.
  9. Remove the memory module.
  10. Remove the DC-in .
  11. Remove the WLAN card.
  12. Remove the system board.

Steps

  1. Disconnect the backlit cable and the keyboard cable from the touchpad.

  2. Remove the nineteen (M2x2) screws that secure the keyboard [1].
  3. Lift the keyboard away from the computer [2].
