Removing the LED board

  1. Follow the procedures in Before working inside your computer.
  2. Remove the:
    1. battery cover
    2. battery
    3. base cover
    4. hard drive
    5. keyboard
    6. secondary memory
    7. palmrest
  3. To remove LED board:
    1. Lift the tab and disconnect the LED-board cable from the LED board [1].
    2. Remove the M2.0x3.0 screw that secures the LED board to the computer and remove it from the computer [2].
