Removing the hard drive

  1. Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer .
  2. Remove the:
    1. battery cover

    2. battery

  3. Perform the following steps as shown in the illustration:
    1. Remove the screws that secure the hard drive to the computer [1].
    2. Pull the hard-drive latch to the unlock position [2].
    3. Slide and lift the hard drive from the computer [3].
