Removing the Hard-Drive Fan

  1. Follow the procedures in Before Working Inside Your Computer .
  2. Remove:
    1. left cover
    2. right cover
    3. PCI card
  3. Disconnect the hard-drive fan cable from the system board.

  4. Route the cable from below the computer chassis as indicated.

  5. Remove the screws that secure the hard-drive fan to the front of the chassis and remove the fan from the computer.
