Removing the Input Output board

  1. Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
  2. Remove the:
    1. base cover
    2. solid-state drive(SSD)
    3. WLAN card
  3. To remove the Input Output(I/O) board:
    1. Remove the two M2.5 x 6 screws that secure the left display hinge to the system [1].
    2. Lift the hinge [2].
    3. Lift the latch and, disconnect the I/O cable from the connector on the I/O board [3,4].
      Displays the removal of the left hinge
    4. Remove the two M2.0 x 2 screws that secure the I/O board to the system [1].
    5. Lift the I/O board away from the system.
      Displays the removal of the Input output board
