Known Limitations

Limitations on Wyse 5060 Thin Client

  • Horizon Blast—Dual 4 K desktop resolution is not supported. The VDI graphics performance is not smooth, and it is not recommended for use.
  • PCoIP connection to a virtual machine without GPU—Dual 4 K desktop resolution is not supported. The VDI graphics performance is not smooth, and it is not recommended for use. It is recommended to use Wyse 5070 Thin Client for 4 K optimized VDI graphics performance.

Limitations of Citrix virtual apps and desktop 2006/2003

  • To ensure that the Legacy graphics option is functioning, you must enable the Citrix policy. If the policy is not enabled, a distorted screen is displayed on the desktop when applications or folders are moved over the desktop. You must enable these two settings in the server:
    • Legacy graphics mode
    • Optimize for 3D graphics workload
    Or, you can enable the below settings to resolve graphics issues:
    • Legacy graphics mode
    • Set video codec for compression to full screen
  • The calculator application is displayed in the background when dragging applications between screens. This issue occurs only with latest Citrix version (Citrix virtual apps and desktops 2003).
  • Images in PPT are distorted. This issue occurs only with latest Citrix version (Citrix virtual apps and desktops 2003).

Limitation with Mobile Hotspot networks—Mobile hotspot connections are not supported.

Configuring the Touch Screen Settings in VDI Sessions

Whenever a touch display is connected to the client using the USB port, you must configure the display to ensure it works in different VDI sessions. To configure touch monitor USB settings for RDP Session (Default Settings), do the following:
  • From the desktop menu, click Connect Manager.
  • Click Global Connection Settings.
  • Under USB redirection settings:
    • Clear the Exclude disk devices box.
    • Check the Exclude printer devices, Exclude audio devices, and Exclude video devices boxes.

    To configure touch monitor USB settings for Citrix and VMware, do the following:

  • From the desktop menu, click Connect Manager.
  • Click Global Connection Settings.
  • Under USB redirection settings, clear all the boxes.

BIOS Update—On Wyse 5470 thin client, ensure that the power adapter is connected before updating the BIOS.

Certificate Update—From ThinOS 8.6_810 build, the following certificates have been removed as they have expired:
