Removing the 5G WWAN card (Optional)
Prerequisites
- Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
- Remove the base cover.
About this task
NOTE:The following steps are for computers with WWAN support.
The following image(s) indicate the location of the 5G WWAN card and provides a visual representation of the removal procedure.
Steps
- Remove the screw (M2x3) that secures the 5G WWAN-card bracket to the 5G WWAN card.
- Lift the 5G WWAN-card bracket off the 5G WWAN card.
- Remove the two screws (M2x3) that secure the 5G WWAN-card shield to the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
- Lift the 5G WWAN-card shield off the 5G WWAN card.
- Disconnect the antenna cables from the 5G WWAN card.
- Slide and remove the 5G WWAN card off the 5G WWAN-card slot on the system board.
