Installing the keyboard
CAUTION:The information in this section is intended for authorized service technicians only.
Prerequisites
About this task
The following images indicate the location of the keyboard and provide a visual representation of the installation procedure.
Steps
- Align and place the keyboard on the keyboard bracket.
- Replace the ten screws (M2x2) to secure the keyboard to the keyboard bracket.
- Turn the keyboard bracket over.
- Align and place the keyboard bracket on the palm-rest assembly.
- Replace the twenty one screws (M2x2) that secure the keyboard bracket to the palm-rest assembly.
- Connect the keyboard-backlight cable to the connector on the system board and close the latch to secure the cable.
- Connect the keyboard cable to the connector on the system board and close the latch to secure the cable.

- Install the system board.
- Install the assembly inner frame.
- Install the heat sink.
- Install the M.2 2230 solid-state drive in Slot 2.
- Install the M.2 2230 or M.2 2280 solid-state drive in Slot 1.
- Install the memory modules.
- Install the WLAN card.
