Installing the battery
CAUTION:The information in this section is intended for authorized service technicians only.
Prerequisites
About this task
The following image(s) indicate the location of the battery and provides a visual representation of the installation procedure.
Steps
- Align and route the battery cable through the routing guides on the battery.
- Adhere the tape that secures the battery cable to the battery.
- Connect the battery cable to the connector on the battery.
- Flip the battery.
- Using the alignment posts, place the battery on the palm-rest assembly.
- Align the screw holes on the battery with the screw holes on the palm-rest assembly.
- Tighten the five captive screws that secure the battery to the palm-rest assembly.
- Connect the battery cable to the system board.
