The Dell VMAX and PowerMax enterprise storage platform families support storage-based Non-Disruptive Migrations (NDM) to migrate business-critical host systems to new storage arrays without application downtime. With the release of the PowerMaxOS 5978.444.444 code family, NDM support is added for the IBMi host platform. NOTE 1: For IBMi systems that also use Dell's native STM software toolkit (SRDF/TimeFinder Manager for IBMi), there are some additional considerations when the (optional) final step in the NDM process is done for a device-identity reset (unspoofing) of the migrated devices. Read the instructions provided below, prior to performing the identity reset! NOTE 2: The device identity reset, also mentioned as an "unspoof" operation, has implications for the next initial program load (IPL) phase after the unspoof. Read further details below.

Fix 584167 improves the SymmWin AutoPSE_SFP script to report Dell part number for 10 Gig-E or 25 Gig-E SFP components.

In a Mainframe environment, during Online Fast IML, the FICON directors may become unresponsive when handling too many State Change Interrupts (SCI). Fix 106587 is required.

Fix 583233 reduces the severity of the error code 08.04DB.A4 to 5.

Replication Data Pointers (RDP) LRU contention may cause memory failures. Fix 106475 is required.

SnapVX 'Relink' may fail with "The SNAPVX 'Relink' operation for Device List FAILED with: The operation resulted in a failed snapshot state." Fix 106352 is required. SnapVX may report a "Snapshot failed. Please check RDP and SRP usage." Fix 106890 is required.

FICON port encountering bad incoming Fibre Channel frames may go Port busy impacting systems attached to the array. Fix 106495 required.
