This 3D experience gives you the step by step process of replacing the M.2 SSD (Solid State Drive) and a PowerEdge R7625. The procedure will also include removing the BOSS N1 card carrier, M.2 SSD card and reinstalling them.
Removal
BOSS N1 card carrier
Identify the BOSS N1 card carrier highlighted in blue.
Pull and lift the BOSS N1 card carrier retention latch lock to open.
Slide the BOSS N1 card carrier out.
M.2 SSD card (Solid State Drive)
Position the BOSS-N1 card carrier.
Identify the M.2 SSD card highlighted in blue.
Remove the screw that secures the M.2 SSD module to BOSS card carrier.
Slide the M.2 SSD out and up from the BOSS-N1 card carrier.
Install
M.2 SSD card (Solid State Drive)
Position the BOSS-N1 card carrier.
Identify the M.2 SSD card location highlighted in blue.
Align the notch with the tab and insert the SSD into the connector on the BOSS card.
Install the screw to secure the M.2 SSD module on the BOSS card carrier.
BOSS N1 card carrier
Identify the BOSS N1 card carrier location highlighted in blue.
Slide the BOSS N1 card carrier into the BOSS N1 module slot.
Close the BOSS N1 card carrier release latch to lock the carrier in place.
