In this video, we'll show how to replicate the data from one server to another server by using the "Break Mirror" feature in Lifecycle Controller. Launch the Lifecycle Controller homepage, click "Hardware Configuration", and then click "Configuration Wizards".
The "Configuration Wizards" window is displayed. Under "Storage Configuration Wizards," click "Break Mirror". On the "Break Mirror" screen, you can view the list of RAID-1 virtual disks. Select the virtual disk on which you want to perform the "Break Mirror" operation, and click "Finish".
A message will be displayed to indicate that if the "Break Mirror" operation is successful the system will shut down. Click "Yes" to continue. When the "Break Mirror Operation Report" window is displayed, click "Shut Down". Note that the system takes a few minutes to shut down.
When you restart the system, the post indicates the status of a degraded virtual disk. Press F10 to relaunch Lifecycle Controller. The Lifecycle Controller homepage is displayed. Click "Hardware Configuration", and then click "Configuration Wizards". Click "RAID Configuration" to verify that the select virtual disk status is "Degraded".
