Troubleshoot OneDrive for Android app problems
Summary: Here are the following steps on how to fix the OneDrive sync problem in Mobile for Android.
Instructions

If you are having camera roll issues, for example, automatic camera upload is not working, not all photos are uploaded, take the following steps to help fix the problem:
- Check your Wi-Fi connectivity; ensure that the Camera upload on Metered Connections option is not switched off.
- Disable camera upload in OneDrive app settings.
- Go to www.onedrive.live.com
and rename your Camera Roll folder.
- Enable camera upload to start the reuploading of all camera roll photos from your mobile device into the cloud.
Note: Ensure that your Wi-Fi connection is strong before completing these steps.

If it takes a while to look for photos or do camera uploads but there is no error message, it might be because you have too many pictures on your camera roll. The delay may also be caused by facial recognition and location data settings in your photos. To resolve this, reduce the number of photos in your camera roll by moving some of your photos to another folder.

Here is how to set a ringtone from a OneDrive music file.
- From the Home screen, tap Apps > Settings > Sounds and Notifications > Ringtone.
- To use your own music file, scroll all the way to the bottom, then select Add ringtone.
- Tap Complete action using: OneDrive then tap Just once, if prompted.
- Select the music file then tap Done.
Note: If you want to set a ringtone from your device rather than from OneDrive, you may have to clear the OneDrive app defaults.
- Go to Settings > Apps.
- Scroll down then tap OneDrive.
- Scroll down and tap Clear Defaults.
Note: After you clear the OneDrive defaults, you could use the Sound Picker whenever you choose OneDrive files as ringtones.

You may receive this message if you have moved the file on your computer after an automatic upload has occurred. If the file has been moved, renamed, or deleted before you tried to upload it, locate the file then try to upload it again.
Filename errors
If you receive the error message, A file with this name already exists, rename the file that you are trying to upload.
If you receive the error message, the file contains restricted characters, remove unnecessary characters from the filename (for example, /, \, <, >,: *, ",?, |).
A file will not upload if it does not fit into your available OneDrive storage space. To see how space you have remaining or get more storage, tap Menu > Settings, then tap your account name to see your total storage and space available. Alternatively, sign in first to go to your storage page online.
