Cause

vCenterin Postgres-tietokannan vioittuminen aiheutti vCenter-päivityksen epäonnistumisen tietokannan viennin aikana. 

Resolution

Vaihe 1: kirjaudu IDPA vCenter -käyttöliittymään.

Vaihe 2: kloonaa vCenter-virtuaalikone.
  • Napsauta VCSA-virtuaalikonetta hiiren kakkospainikkeella --> Clone to Virtual Machine. 
  • Valitse kloonin nimi ja muut tiedot ja valitse OK. 

Vaihe 3: palauta vCenter-virtuaalikone aiempaan versioon ACM-käyttöliittymässä. 
  • Valitse Troubleshooting Options -valintaruutu. Valitse vCenter-päivityksen kohdalla Rollback.  

Vaihe 4: muodosta SSH-yhteys vCenter-virtuaalikoneeseen ja pysäytä vpxd-palvelu.
  • service-control --stop vpxd

Vaihe 5: kirjaudu vCenterin Postgres-tietokantaan.
  • /opt/vmware/vpostgres/current/bin/psql -d VCDB -U postgres
Vaihe 6: suorita vCenterin Postgres-tietokannassa seuraavat kyselyt/komennot:
  • SET zero_damaged_pages = on;
  • VACUUM FULL ANALYSE VERBOSE;
  • REINDEX table vpx_topn_past_month;
  • select * from vpx_topn_past_month;
  • SET zero_damaged_pages = off;
Vaihe 7: siirry ACM-käyttöliittymään, valitse vCenter-päivityksen kohdalla Retry ja seuraa edistymistä.
