Symptoms
- You are attempting to restore a VM save set that does not reside on disk (Data Domain), the save set resides on tape.
- vProxy cannot restore directly from tape, the save set must be resurrected (cloned) back to a disk (Data Domain) device.
- The recover wizard attempts to automatically resurrect (clone) the save set from tape back to a disk (Data Domain) device to perform the restore.
- The resurrection process fails with:
Unable to find a usable device for recovery of saveset SSID: Unable to find enabled Data Domain device for volume 'Volume.01'. An attempt will be made to perform automatic clone resurrection

Clone command run by resurrection process does not know what host to use as destination storage node for clone volume.
Resolution
1. From the NetWorker Management Console (NMC) open the storage node properties of the "source storage node". The storage node can be accessed from the Devices tab -> Storage Nodes.
2. Add the "destination Storage Node" FQDN where disk device is mounted) under configuration -> Clone storage nodes
For more information on this field refer to the NetWorker Administration Guide for your NetWorker Version available through https://www.dell.com/support/home/en-us?app=knowledgebase
3. Return to NMC and initiate new restore where save set will be resurrected (cloned) from tape back to Data Domain device. Once resurrection process completes the restore will be initiated.
