Disabling Client-Side Error Popup Notifications in Avamar

To disable the client-side error message notifications in Avamar, follow these steps:

  1. Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) to the server where the Avamar agent is installed.
  2. Invoke msconfig.exe.
  3. Under the Startup tab, clear the Avamar Windows Client entry.
  4. Reboot the server after making this change.

After this change, all Avamar scheduled backups run, but the error messages no longer are displayed.
