Which licenses are bundled with VxRail?
- VxRail Manager's license
- vCenter Standard license (internal vCenter implementations only; external implementations require a separately purchased license)
Third-Party licenses include:
- RecoverPoint for Virtual Machines (VMs): 5 VM licenses per node (for E,V,P,S series models) or 15 VM licenses per chassis for the G Series
- Isilon SD: This can scale up to 36 TB
ESXi and vSAN licenses must be purchased separately.
How to obtain vSphere licenses?
Contact your Dell Sales representative to obtain any vSphere licenses.
Upgrading and Downgrading vSphere licenses

How to obtain trial vSphere licenses?
Dell cannot provide any trial nor evaluation vSphere licenses.

What support is available on the licenses?
The licensing purchased through Dell entitles you to support on the product it activates, which includes problems activating a valid license.
Broadcom ultimately owns and maintains all processes with the licenses itself otherwise.
If there are issues within the Broadcom Licensing Portal:
Open a ticket with Broadcom through your account. (Dell cannot open Licensing tickets on your behalf.)
