Customers may report that the Inspiron 7500 or Dell G7 7590 with OLED panel automatically adjusts the brightness level to maximal before booting up Windows, for example in BIOS or ePSA, the panel brightness is always at highest brightness and changing the brightness level in BIOS does not take effect. In order to control the brightness level, a driver should be loaded in the operating system environment.
Cause
The Intel graphics solution is not able to control the OLED panel brightness by Graphics Output Protocol (GOP).
Resolution
The OLED panel brightness can only be controlled after booting to the operating system.
