Cause

This issue is happening because the Dell Recovery Tool detects the device to be a Dell Hybrid Client computer while recovery and during Ubuntu Base operating system install it skips some scripts (relevant to Secure boot pre-apply configuration to backup existing signature keys). Then, it tries to reenable the Secure boot which results in the above dialog being displayed for NVIDIA driver component devices. The workflow should be to install standard Ubuntu for a DCA Enabler.

Resolution

To resolve this:

  1. Once the user is on the above screen, shut the device down, and then power the device back on.
  2. While restarting, disable secure boot manually from the BIOS, save, and exit.
Note:
  • This process varies depending on the device.
  • The device reboots.
  1. Once restarted, the restore process should continue.
