Symptoms
Deploying Secure Connect Gateway, fails with error:
ThrowableProxy.cause A general system error occurred: Transfer Failed: IO error during transfer of 'null': Unexpected EOF read on socket.Cause
The deployment failed because the proxy is enabled on the vCenter VAMI and the proxy is not configured with a username and password.
During the deployment, it requests for a username and proxy for authentication. It will not receive the username and password and eventually fail to deploy.
Resolution
To resolve the issue, disable the proxy on the vCenter and retry the deployment.
Once the deployment is complete, enable the proxy on the vCenter.
