Symptoms

Cuando se intenta agregar una VM a una política, PowerProtect Data Manager intenta habilitar LWD en la VM. Esta tarea falla con el siguiente error:
  
Enable LWD-based data protection Virtual machine  VM01 Cannot complete the operation. See the event log for details. Data protection operation is not allowed while a migration is in progress com.vmware.dp

La VM no se está migrando. DRS está deshabilitado.

Cause

Alguna condición desconocida en vSphere estaba causando esta falla. Antes de que ocurriese este problema, vCenter Server no respondía. Es posible que la VM se migrara cuando vCenter no respondía.

Resolution

Los siguientes pasos resolvieron el problema:

1. En la interfaz del usuario de vSphere, apague la VM
2. Elimine la VM del inventario de vCenter.
3. Vuelva a registrar la VM en vCenter Server (navegue por el área de almacenamiento de datos y busque el archivo vmx de VM para volver a registrarla).
