Symptoms

Quando si tenta di aggiungere una VM a una policy, PowerProtect Data Manager tenta di abilitare LWD sulla VM. Questa attività ha esito negativo con il seguente errore:
  
Enable LWD-based data protection Virtual machine  VM01 Cannot complete the operation. See the event log for details. Data protection operation is not allowed while a migration is in progress com.vmware.dp

La VM non è in fase di migrazione. DRS è disabilitato.

Cause

Alcune condizioni sconosciute in vSphere causavano questo errore. Prima che si verificasse questo problema, il server vCenter non rispondeva. È possibile che la VM sia stata migrata quando vCenter non rispondeva.

Resolution

La seguente procedura ha risolto il problema:

1. Dall'interfaccia utente di vSphere, arrestare la VM
2. Rimuovere la VM dall'inventario vCenter.
3. Ripetere la registrazione della VM nel vCenter Server (sfogliare il datastore e individuare il file vmx delle VM per ripetere la registrazione).
