Symptoms

Ao tentar adicionar uma VM a uma política, o PowerProtect Data Manager tenta habilitar o LWD na VM. Esta tarefa falha com o seguinte erro:
  
Enable LWD-based data protection Virtual machine  VM01 Cannot complete the operation. See the event log for details. Data protection operation is not allowed while a migration is in progress com.vmware.dp

A VM não está sendo migrada. O DRS está desativado.

Cause

Alguma condição desconhecida no vSphere estava causando essa falha. Antes desse problema ocorrer, o vCenter Server não estava respondendo. É possível que a VM estava sendo migrada quando o vCenter não estava respondendo.

Resolution

As etapas a seguir resolveram o problema:

1. Na interface do usuário do vSphere, desligue a VM
2. Remova a VM do inventário do vCenter.
3. Registre novamente a VM no vCenter Server (procure o datastore e localize o arquivo VMx das VMs para registrar novamente).
