Microsoft has announced that support for Windows 10 Home, Windows 10 Pro, and Windows 10 Education editions will end on October 14, 2025. End of support means that Microsoft will no longer provide software updates, technical assistance, or security fixes for Windows 10. Computers running Windows 10 will continue to function, but could become susceptible to malware attacks and may not work with newer technologies. See Microsoft's Windows 10 End of Support Announcement for detailed information.
If your device is tested by Dell for Windows 11 and meets Microsoft's hardware requirements for Windows 11, Dell Technologies recommends that you upgrade your operating system to Windows 11 before the Windows 10 End of Support date. This may require enabling features like Trusted Platform Module (TPM) on your device if it is available. See the following articles for more information.

If your device is eligible to receive the upgrade to Windows 11, follow these steps:
Select Start, then open Settings > Privacy and Security > Windows Update. If your PC meets the minimum system requirements and can upgrade, you should see an option in Windows Update to upgrade from Windows 10 to Windows 11.
If your device is not tested by Dell for Windows 11, and does not meet the minimum hardware requirements for Windows 11, Dell Technologies recommends replacing that device with one that can run Windows 11. See Dell's Windows 11 page for new Dell Copilot+ PCs that take full advantage of Windows 11's features.
Dell Technologies recommends replacing your device with one capable of running Windows 11 before the End of Support date. If you need more time before moving to a Copilot+ PC or other new Windows 11 device, Microsoft will begin enrollment for a one-year Extended Security Updates (ESU) program. This program will open later in 2025. See Microsoft's End of Support page for information as it becomes available.
