Sintomas

Error message: 
Unable to find any full backup of the save set "xxxxdb1.dell.com:MSSQL" in the media database. Recommending that a full backup be performed.
Checks performed:
  • The client name in the backup details of the workflow on NMC belongs to xxxdb2.dell.com. This name (xxxdb2) is another SQL virtual instance name in the same cluster.
  • There is no SSID list in the mminfo results when the below command is run:
mminfo -avot -S -q client=xxxxdb1.dell.com.
  • All backups belong to xxxdb2.dell.com.
  • The ping and host files are all in good condition.

Causa

This issue may be related to a code change introduced in 19.7, which disabled the reverse DNS lookup issue in some scenarios. It causes the NetWorker to use the cluster virtual IP address instead of the virtual hostname.

Resolução

Workaround:
  1. Add the virtual IP address into the alias of virtual hostname on NMC.
