Removing the display assembly

  1. Follow the procedure in Before Working Inside Your Computer .
  2. Remove the:
    1. battery

    2. base cover

    3. hard drive assembly

    4. WLAN card

    5. memory

    6. keyboard

    7. palmrest

    8. display cable

    9. power connector port

    10. system fan

    11. system board

  3. To remove the display assembly:
    1. Remove the rubber on both sides of the computer [1].
    2. Remove the screws that secure the display assembly to the chassis [2].
    3. Lift and remove the display assembly from the chassis [3].
