Removing the USB board

  1. Follow the procedure in Before Working Inside Your Computer .
  2. Remove the:
    1. battery

    2. base cover

    3. hard drive assembly

    4. keyboard

    5. palmrest

  3. To remove the USB board:
    1. Lift the latch and disconnect the USB board cable from the connector on the USB board [1, 2].
    2. Remove the screw that secures the USB board to the computer [3].
    3. Lift and remove the USB board from the computer [4].
