Removing the hard drive bracket

  1. Follow the procedure in Before Working Inside Your Computer .
  2. Remove the:
    1. battery

    2. base cover

    3. hard drive assembly

  3. To remove the hard drive bracket:
    1. Remove the screws to release the hard drive bracket from the hard drive assembly [1].
    2. Remove the hard drive from the hard drive bracket [2].
    3. Disconnect the hard drive cable from the hard drive [3].
