Removing rear system-fan
Prerequisites
- Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
- Remove the left-side cover.
- Remove the rear system-fan assembly.
About this task
The following images provide a visual representation of the rear system-fan removal procedure.
Steps
- Release the fan cover from the slots on the fan bracket.
- Remove the fan cover from the fan bracket.
- Unroute the fan cable from the routing clip on the fan bracket.
- Remove the fan cable from the slot on the fan bracket.
- Lift and remove the fan along with the cable away from the fan bracket.
NOTE:Follow the same steps to remove the second fan.
