Removing the external 2.5-inch hard-drive caddy
Prerequisites
- Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
- Remove the external 2.5-inch hard-drive assembly.

Steps
- Pry the sides of the hard-drive caddy to release the tabs on the caddy from the slots on the hard drive.
- Lift and remove the hard drive off the hard-drive caddy.
