Removing the speakers
Prerequisites
- Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
- Remove the base cover.
About this task
The following image indicates the location of the speakers and provides a visual representation of the removal procedure.
Steps
- Disconnect the speaker cable from the system board.
- Note the routing of the speaker cable, and remove the speaker cable from the routing guides on the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
NOTE Note the position of the rubber grommets before lifting the speakers.
- Lift the speakers, along with the cable, off the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
