Disabling multifactor authentication

A security officer can disable multifactor authentication for an admin user or another security officer, but not the crso.

About this task

Users who have enabled multifactor authentication and then are unable to provide the security code to log in to their accounts must ask a security officer to disable multifactor authentication.

NOTE: The security officer cannot enable multifactor authentication for another user. Only users can enable multifactor authentication for their accounts.

Steps

  1. Select Administration > Users from the Main Menu.
  2. Select the user.
  3. Click Disable MFA.

Results

The security officer and the admin user, whose multifactor authentication is disabled, receive an email message that indicates that multifactor authentication is disabled. If multifactor authentication for the crso is disabled, only the crso receives an email message.
