Preparing to deploy PowerProtect Data Manager on AWS

The prerequisites for deploying PowerProtect Data Manager on AWS include the following.

Ensure that you:

• Deploy the Cyber Recovery solution on AWS.
• Acquire the VPC ID and required key pairs that you created to deploy the Cyber Recovery solution on AWS. You can find the VPC ID from the AWS Management Console.
• Know the subnet on which the Cyber Recovery management host and the DDVE system reside.
• Create a security group in the same region as the Cyber Recovery vault. The security group must:
  • Have a unique tag ID that uses the Cyber Recovery VPC ID as the value.
  • Allow temporary SSH inbound access in the security group for 0.0.0.0/0.

  Because multiple vaults are supported in AWS, this security group ensures that you access the correct vault.
