Introduction to Amazon CloudWatch

Amazon CloudWatch is a service that can monitor Cyber Recovery resources by collecting metrics for your Cyber Recovery instances on Amazon Web Services (AWS).

Use CloudWatch to create alarms to notify you if configured metric thresholds are reached. You can configure CloudWatch to send email messages using Amazon Simple Notification Service (SNS) when these thresholds are reached.

We recommend that you collect Cyber Recovery metrics for:

• Cyber Recovery host status
• CPU use
• Memory use
• Disk use

Prepare to monitor Cyber Recovery metrics by:

• Setting up connectivity for the CloudWatch agent and then Installing the CloudWatch agent, if necessary
• Creating a CloudWatch alarm
