Virtual host style addressing
In the virtual host style addressing scheme, the bucket name is in the hostname. For example, you can access the bucket named mybucket on host ecs1.yourco.com using the following address:
http://mybucket.ecs1.yourco.com
You can also include a namespace in the address.
Example: mybucket.mynamespace.ecs1.yourco.com
To use virtual host style addressing, you must configure the base URL in ECS so that ECS can identify which part of the URL is the bucket name. You must also ensure that the DNS system is configured to resolve the address. For more information on DNS configuration, see DNS configuration
