Prerequisites to Tanzu Kubernetes guest cluster protection

Review the following requirements before adding a Tanzu Kubernetes guest cluster in PowerProtect Data Manager for namespace and PVC protection.

  • Verify that the minimum required vSphere version is installed. The compatibility matrix at E-Lab Navigator provides details.
  • Only NSX-T based networking deployments are supported.
  • It is recommended that communication between vSphere and the Tanzu Kubernetes guest cluster be routable.
  • Complete a one-time configuration to set up the Supervisor cluster, as described in the section Set up the Supervisor cluster.
