PowerProtect Data Manager 19.11 Kubernetes User Guide
Specify volumesnapshotclass for v1 CSI snapshots
By default, PowerProtect Data Manager picks up the default volumesnapshotclass for a storageclass provisioner when creating the CSI snapshot. If the cluster has multiple volumesnapshotclass resources for the same storageclass provisioner, perform the following steps to create a mapping for the volumesnapshotclass to be used for the provided storageclass. This procedure is supported for v1 CSI snapshots only.
Steps
- Create a ConfigMap ppdm-snapshot-class-mapping in the powerprotect namespace.
-
In the data section of the ConfigMap, add a
snapshotclass mapping in the format
storage class name:
volumesnapshotclass name. For example:
mystorageclass: myvolumesnapshotclass
