Session cookies

Establish a session by creating a session cookie through the session resource.

You can create a session cookie by sending credentials to a session service resource along with a "referer" header, which responds with a Set-Cookie header, an anti-CSRF token (see section below on Authentication with CSRF protection), and other details about the session such as the inactive and absolute timeout values.
NOTE: New with OneFS 9.3 and later, API activity will not reset or extend the inactive timeout value. Alternatively, a unique replacement cookie will be proactively included in all responses to the client when the inactive timeout value reaches 450 seconds or less; the default starting value is 900 seconds (15 minutes). The inactive timeout value will begin its countdown in each replacement cookie as each is offered to the client and the absolute timeout value will be synchronized and continue to countdown in the original and all replacement cookies with the same value, from its initial default value of 14,400 seconds (4 hours). Any and/or all replacement cookie can be used to continue the session until the inactive timeout value in each cookie expires or the absolute timeout value expires the session.
