Removing touch display panel

NOTE The touch display panel removal procedure is applicable only for systems with touch display configuration.
  1. Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
  2. Remove the:
    1. base cover
    2. battery
    3. WLAN card
    4. WWAN card
    5. display assembly
  3. To remove the touch display panel:
    1. Use a plastic scribe to loosen the edges of the display panel.

    2. Flip the display screen over from the top.
    3. Peel the adhesive tape [1], Mylar shield [2].
    4. Release the latch [3], and disconnect the eDP cable [4].
    5. Peel the adhesive tape [5], and disconnect the IR cable [6].

  4. Remove the display bezel from the display assembly.
