Removing the touchpad

  1. Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
  2. Remove the:
    1. base cover
    2. battery
    3. SSD card
    4. SSD frame
    5. WLAN card
    6. WWAN card
    7. chassis frame
  3. To remove the touchpad panel:
    1. Disconnect the touchpad panel cable from the connector on the system board [1].
    2. Remove the two M2x3 screws that secure the touchpad panel to the system. [2].
    3. Lift the touchpad panel from the system [3].
