Removing camera

Prerequisites

  1. Follow the procedure in before working inside your computer.
  2. Remove the microSD card.
  3. Remove the base cover.
  4. Remove the battery.
  5. Remove the display assembly.
  6. Remove the display bezel.
  7. Remove the hinge caps.
  8. Remove the display hinges.
  9. Remove the display panel.

Steps

  1. Peel the two conductive tape that secures the camera in place [1].
  2. Carefully pry and lift the camera module from the display back cover [2].
  3. Disconnect the camera cable from the connector on the camera module [3].
