Removing the inner frame

Prerequisites

  1. Follow the procedure in before working inside your computer.
  2. Remove the microSD card.
  3. Remove the base cover.
  4. Remove the battery.
  5. Remove the WLAN card.
  6. Remove the M.2 SSD.
  7. Remove the M.2 SSD bracket.

Steps

  1. Unroute the WLAN antenna cables.
    Unroute the WLAN antenna cables.
  2. Remove the four (M2x5) screws that secure the inner frame to the system board [1].
  3. Remove the six (M2x3) screws that secure the inner frame to the system chassis [2].
  4. Lift the inner frame away from the system chassis [3].
